No Man's Sky. Horrible VR Performance. Nice Game, but seemes not optimised for VR - even in absolute minimum settings with all online funtions disabled this looks really bad and runs even worse. Tested with Ryzen 5600X, B550 Chipset, 32GB DDR4 RAM, RTX 3070 Ti - Game installed on M2 PCI-E 4.0 SSD- using Occulus Link with Steam VR (i know, ♥

I literally set everything to standard/lowest and its still between 16-20 fps. Where I used to actually put this game's graphics settings fairly high with minor reductions to get a good framerate. Same CPU, same RAM speed, only difference is going with this new AMD card and the extra RAM. Sort by:
Meanwhile I'm playing on my VRR enabled monitor (40-60hz range) at 2560x1440 with Psycho RT and Psycho Screenspace, everything turned on except (film grain lens flare chromatic aberration motion blur) with DLSS Balanced, have been doing that since game came out and even after RT Shadows got upgraded in 1.5 patch (which costs performance everybody with RT) I didn't have to change my settings.
Okay, maybe not 144hz exactly (idk how feasible that is), but something close. 120 hz is fine. Its wayyyyyyy better than 60hz, and the difference from 144hz is negligible. I've got a GTX 1080, and a 1440p screen, and most times the FPS ranges from 50-70 on max graphics settings. So you'd need something more than that.

I’m pretty sure the pause/skip between planet and space is part of how the game engine swaps out the two environments and happens regardless of any graphics settings or capabilities. I play on PC with an Nvidia Quadro P2000 and a super ultra wide monitor. If I turn it up to Ultra the game slows noticeably.
No Man’s Sky’s new Nvidia Deep Learning Super Sampling support will let the game run at a high frame rate even at 4K resolution. The feature will also allow for more graphical improvements and
